Recycling and waste collections are taking place but with a reduced workforce. Collections of general waste and food waste are being prioritised.
You may find that your recycling or waste is collected later than usual – if your collection is missed, please leave your bins at your normal point of collection. We will try to return in the coming days to empty your bins, but you may have to wait until your next scheduled collection.

How can we help each other?
COVID19 COMMUNITY SELF-HELP GROUP
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases is rising in the uk and government have advised those over 70 and those with existing health conditions to self-isolate.
As at 23rd March the number of confirmed cases in Croydon was 85
and seven people have now died from Covid-19 in the borough.
What can we do?
We can create a list of helpers who can do things like:
a little shopping for those isolated or
willing to phone and check on neighbours or
phone to have a brief chat or maybe
help someone place their first online shopping order
or something else that helps them.
What we hope to do
Your CVRA will act as a coordinator to bring together those who can give help with those, locally ,who need it.
We have 30 distributors throughout this area who, if well, may be able to help coordinate a street by street response.
Can you help?
If you are able and willing to help your community please send an email to cvra@gmx.com or phone Wendy on 07834 957391 giving your details and how you would prefer to help,
someone will get back to you ASAP.
Do you need help?
If you need any help please send an email to cvra@gmx.com or phone Wendy on 07834 957391 giving your details and how you need help, someone will get back to you ASAP.
We hope to facilitate small groups where they haven’t yet been set up.
